A two-week Bicoastal Road Trip on the Big Iceland

I made my way to plan travel planner to a large eight-day trip to the Big Iceland and found so much to see to do and on the Kona Coast alone, I took two weeks to fully explore the island. So, here by the combination of my experience with Kona Coast recommended by locals, is then a two-week road trip, who will complete the Big Iceland treatment.

I would suggest you stay a week on the Kona Coast and the next in Hilo to have a great starting point for your many explorations. We begin our road trip planning on the Kona side, the sunnier region. From there you take your trip planning to the Hamakua Coast, stopping at Akaka Falls and lunch in Honokaa. Then look at Waipio Valley, the birthplace of Hawaii's kings before for Waimea, a cowboy town with the Parker Ranch Visitor Center & Museum as the focus.
